I spoke with the lady who is the president of GHS Alumni Band. I asked her to find out for sure if we will be able to play at the alumni game. She said that she is sure that it will not be a problem, but will speak with the director to comfirm. I will know for certain next week. I also spoke with EWHS Band director to confirm that we will be allowed to meet in the band room for practice. He said that he will allow us to do that and he would also work with the alumni band.
There are also two parades on the Saturday morning in addition to the Friday night alumni basketball game, one downtown and one in the Central Heights community that we can participate in.

Larry you are right Devil dogg we are and always will be the Band to Beat but it would be nice to keep it that way! We just have to be on point! Larry i am with Breaking it up and LaBamba! Ok yall... I'm down for the band thing.... You know that 's right down my alley...LOL I am looking forward to doing things old school style... my flag line love the the moves that I have taught them from back in the day. We have to do at least one in each routine and they love it. YEAH I still have it!!! SMILE

Hello, everybody. Let's make sure that we lift all of our classmates up in prayer that live in the DC area (as the inauguration is taking place later on today), in particular Eric Croom (who works in the Counter Terrorism and Violent Crime Unit). I'm not saying that anything will happen, but we know that a few people were a bit salty after the Honorable President Barack Obama won the election (particularly here in Alabama, where gun sales rapidly increased). Let's gird up for our classmates. I want to see every one of them when the reunion comes. Let's pray a covering around them all (as well as President Obama & his family), so that this event won't be historical for any additional reasons that are negative.

WOW! I just want to reflect on yesterdays events. I am still very emotional from everything that took place. I am very proud of our new PRESIDENT. I can say that I sat and watched what our country stands for, UNITY take place. We are the UNITED STATES of AMERICA! Not Black America or White America but AMERICA! I am looking forward to what God has in store for us as we stand together as a nation working hand in hand. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Devil Dog U better go that was a prayer that caught Gods ear! God is Good! I am overwhelmed by the unity that is alreay starting to form in the Country lets pray that God continues to watch over all of us and or one Commander and Chief! Good job watching over us Eric and all the other classmates that are law enforcement! Ladies and Gentlemen President Barack Obama is in the White house! Wow that is History ! My wife went and she still has Barack-itis! Lets make 2009 stay fine as we stay on our Grind!

Hey Class of 89!! I am getting excited about this coming weekend. This will be my first time back to G-Boro in 20 years. I know I am overdue...but late is always better then never. Also..."2O" is a nice number, wish I was that age again and could keep my 39 year old God given knowledge. "My people suffer for lack of knowledge".

It was so much fun seeing everyone last weekend. Everyone looked so good, it's amazing that it has been 20 years! To all who had a part in the planning and constructing of the dinner...thank you for a job well done. Unfortunately we did not attend any other events, timing issue...but i heard all went well. Yep! The class of 1989 have been getting together each Memorial Day weekend since 2006. I spoke with RJ & he has some ideas already in mind. Latonia Holoway has even suggested that we rent a couple beach houses next year & spend a weekend togethe.
